A recent USA Today article says Target plans to give customers a 5-cent discount for every reusable bag they use to pack their purchases. More an more retailers are jumping on board, including CVS, Whole Foods and Trader Joes. Retailers could be keeping billions of bags from going into our environment.
Reusable bags are becoming a must for every shopper. What logo do they see every week when they go shopping – is it yours? It could be! Here’s a few ways to get your bags out in the world.
- Fold bags flat and mail them with a lettering sharing your company’s eco-friendly initiatives.
- Give shopping bags away at corporate events, trade shows
- Use reusable tote bags instead of holiday gift bags at the holidays
- Give them as thank you gifts for recent orders with a hand written note
- Gifts with purchase (free or pay with purchase)
- Restaurants can use reusable totes for large to-go orders
- Replace traditional client holiday food gifts with a bags for each employee.
- Give employees green goals and reward efforts with reusable totes.
- Essay contest from kids or adults on how to save the planet
- Sell them….people are willing to buy a bag that looks cool!
